A Tech-savvy 2012

I got a new phone last night (the iPhone 4S). Now that I’ve given up my dinosaur of a blackberry, my daughter thinks I’ve finally entered the modern age (with those Angry Birds and all). I was skeptical at first, but after having used the phone a bit, I have to agree. It’s amazing and really does put the world at your fingertips. After playing Words With Friends with a friend thousands of miles away, checking stock futures and doing some holiday shopping direct from my phone, I felt completely “connected.” With technology moving at such a fast pace, mountainous hurdles and deadlines don’t feel as high as they once did.

In today’s world it’s difficult to imagine life before we had such tools. There was a time, however, when the fax machine ruled the airwaves, travel was necessary to go grocery shopping and videotaping life’s big moments required some forethought (along with tapes, tripods and batteries). Now it seems life is about the little moments, the tiniest of events that perhaps at one time were near-impossible to capture. It’s also about productivity. With workflow improvements and other ways to complete more tasks in less time, perhaps such high-tech tools will give us more time to relish those small moments.

For 2012, I’m looking forward to being able to offer more productivity-boosting and business-building tools to you. This month’s issue of the magazine brings you more than 140 products to help you get creative when brainstorming and building campaigns with your clients. We also continue to bring you hundreds of thousands of products online to help you with free, fast and easy product research on PromoMarketing.com. So sit back, sip some champagne and toast to a productive, successful and small-moment capturing 2012.

Cheers and have a great new year!
